K&T was established in 2023 to provide hire equipment across WA, from the Peel region in the South, right up to the Pilbara where K & T Hire’s story began. Business founder, Keagan Snook, is a proud Nyamal and Yinhawangka man. Born and raised in the heart of the Pilbara, his roots run deep and his family story is woven into the tapestry of Indigenous life and culture of the area. With 17 years valuable experience in the mining industry, Keagan is a seasoned professional, highly proficient in many facets of mine operation, particularly in the management of plant and equipment.
Keagan’s journey in the mining sector has honed not only his skills in machine operations and maintenance but has also equipped him with a profound understanding of safety protocols and the intricate workings of the mining and broader commercial landscape. Despite his extensive career with a leading global iron ore producer with a modern and sophisticated operation, Keagan remains true to his identity as a proud Aboriginal man.
His connection to culture, country, and the people of the Pilbara is an integral part of Keagan’s identity. Even in the dynamic environment of a global mining giant, he remains deeply rooted in his heritage, ensuring that the values of his ancestors guide the path forward.
